The Isla Magica Tower in Seville

Isla Mágica, Seville     May 2014
Height: 160 meters

ALBA equipment in the Project

  • One hoist for passengers and materials, twin cabin on one mast with 2000 kg of capacity per cabin (EDC-2000-2)
  • One hoist for materials, twin cabin on one mast with 1500 kg capacity per cabin and extra size (MC-1500XXL-2)
  • Ten electric hanging scaffolds 5m long with 800 kg winches (AE800).

What we did

Our mast climbing hoist products for people and materials were used throughout the construction of the building, and ALBA's electric platforms were used to finish the façades. Our platforms covered the entire building perimeter. We encountered the following technical difficulties, among others: Complexity due to the size of the project (many resources involved, there was no room for mistakes that could stop the equipment or any safety risks). Structure with a height of more than 160 m The building was elliptic and frusto-conical in shape, thus involving greater complexity since the equipment had to be adapted to the curved shape and the façade which decreased in circumference as it increased in height.
