Change of Flowers in Sculpture "Puppy" in Bilbao (Spain)

Bilbao (Spain)     October 2017
Height: 15 meters

ALBA equipment in the Project

Two materials hoists of 250 kg of capacity each one (MC-250 non accessible cage).

What we did

ALBA has participated with two non accessible materials hoists to the project of changing of flowers in the sculpture “Puppy” by the artist Jeff Koons, that leads the main entrance of the Guggenheim Art Museum in Bilbao (Spain). For the works of replacing of the flowers that cover the sculpture of a monumental puppy, it was necessary to cover completely the sculpture with multidirectional scaffold, and also to install two ALBA materials hoists, to take the flowerpots up to the different floors of the scaffold. The main features of the material hoists elevators are the easy transport, the quickness and simplicity of the assembly and also the compatibility at the moment with all the brands of multidirectional scaffold in the market. You may use different cages up to 250 kg of capacity, depending on the kind of materials to take or the necessities of the work, counting on both accessible and non accessible cages. These hoists use the modern system of rack pinion, thus surpassing all the inherent problems in the elevators with cable system, and they also wear an emergency parachute with automatic recovery system, the last technology in security.
